Lindsey and Coy

Wow, what an absolutely fantastic day I had last week. Spending the day with friends where you just flow throughout the day is a wonderful experience, especially when it starts with crepes and friendship and ends with sunset on a beach and sunset. Thanks to Lindsey and Coy, I was able to test the processes of a potential day long in-home photo package and create some spectacular photos throughout the day along with two fellow creatives.

I drove all the way across the state, walked into their beautiful home, and was greeted by “AH! You almost made me drop my croissant!” – Lindsey and Coy had been watching Vine compilations while waiting for me to arrive, and I happened to step into their house at just the right time.

What a great introduction to a lovely and wacky couple.

An Everyday Communion

I can hear the rain tapping on the roof of our loft. For the first time in the last few months, I’m calmed by the sound of rain. As someone who is typically stressed out by loud noises, this is a significant change. What is the significance? Of that I’m unsure, but it feels like a spiritual change.

If you know me, you may know that I spent the first 13 years of my education in Catholic schools. After all those years, I was a bit sick of the religious talk and not being able to opt out of practicing something that I wasn’t excited about. Did I believe in my religion then? Do I believe in it now? In a sense, I do.

Dear Future Career

Only a few months away from being done with college, and there has never been more uncertainty in my life regarding where I’ll be in the coming months.

Whatever path I choose, the three key things I would need in my career would be autonomy, opportunities to learn and grow, and the means to foster connections with others. Because of this, I know I could fit in just about wherever I’m needed. The problem is, where do I start looking? Where will I be in 6 months – in a year? How will I be contributing to society?

What Comes First?

If you know me, you know that I’m an active person. I almost always have something on my schedule, and I’m just about always doing something. Most of the time, the people who see me only see me when I’m going to or coming from different events. Student life is a busy life, and working two jobs, three if you count photography, can certainly keep someone occupied.
